Collecting Simpsons merchandise has always been very fun hobby to me. I don’t remember how i started to collect Simpsons stuff or not remember what was my first item ever collected but i do know that it started when show was on season 1, in early 90’s. I’ve been always interested to see what other people has collected and what are their favorite items and this page it’s about that! I present some goodies from my own collection and also our visitors favorite ones. If you like to be listed on this page – of your favorite Simpsons items you own with your name to us.

Tin Motion Homer and Moe Pool Game ( From Rocket USA ): All of the Simpsons tin toys that Rocket USA produce are great, but the Homer and Moe Pool Game is way ahead of the pack. It’s a big toy – a foot long from end to end. It’s durable – you can really crank it up without fear of breaking it. Once the game is wound up Homer and Moe play pool with each other for well over a minute, which is just flat out entertaining to watch. – 1
“Gee, Your Hair Smells Krusty” Picture ( Sam Goody, Suncoast Motion Picture Company and Media Play Exclusive): This isn’t just a flat poster, it’s a soft plastic with the low points depressed and the high points raised, much like a textured topographical map. Every bit of text on it is hilarious, as well as the photo of Krusty. It’s colorful, looks great, and really fits in hanging on the wall in my bathroom. 2
World Of Springfield Custom Figures (Various Customizers): The WOS figures from Playmates Toys are great, but I prefer the custom figures made by the fans, the people who truly love the show. The figures are all hand crafted, and the quality of them is amazing. They do well to round out the collection with characters that won’t be produced because of licensing issues or otherwise. – 3 4

One of my favorite pieces of Simpsons merchandise is an autographed comic book, Treehouse of Horror #1. It was signed by Simpsons creator Matt Groening and others from Bongo Comics in fall 1995 during an event at the famed Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles. I called and purchased the comic book with a credit card. I believe the price was $8.95, plus shipping, which even then was a great bargain for a comic book signed by Matt at an official event. (It includes a certificate of authenticity.) The Treehouse series has turned out to be the most creative endeavor by the folks at Bongo Comics. Still having the book that started it all makes this a great collectible, even without the autographs. 1

Item # 1 – How does one choose which items are the best. As a collector for several years now it was a harder decision than I had thought but then I thought of something. Most of my items in my collection are boxed away since there is just simply not enough space for them on my shelves. Still, there are those few items which I “treasure” from my collection. It is these few things which I keep out always on display and would never consider selling, trading or giving away. When it came down to it there were two products. The first is a signed sericel of “The Garden of Springfield” signed by Matt Greoning, Dan Castellaneta and Harry Shearer. Matt and Harry signed this for me during the MT&R meeting earlier this year. I got Dan to sign it that same night when I was talking to him at the Second City Alumni Jam here in Los Angeles. I couldn’t believe it, 3 signatures in one night. Both Matt and Harry said that they loved the piece. Dan couldn’t believe that I was asking him to sign something.. again; but it was in a joking manner. Sure, I have more artwork. As of now I own 4 production cels, 1 production sketch, 3 sericels (including this one) and 2 giclees. This is the one I love the most. It is the #1 pick in my entire collection. – 1
Item # 2 – Coming in at number 2 is another signed item which is very valuable to me in my collection, and not just because it is a signed item but because it was the item that got me started in my collecting Simpsons merchandise. When Playmates first released the World of Springfield collection I don’t think too many people knew about it. I found this Homer figure on eBay along with a Bart. I picked both of them up and to my surprise found out that there were more made and more that were going to be released. I was very excited and couldn’t wait to get them all. It started with these figures and went on to bigger and better items.. the items I call “my collection”. When I met Dan for the first time I collected enough courage to ask him if he could possibly sign a few things for me. This Homer figure was one of the very first. I also had him sign another Homer, a Grandpa, Willy and a Barney. Some are already given away as gifts but this one will always stay with me. Basically if I had to give up my whole collection but only keep a few items, these would be on the top of my list. 2

Item # 1 – Simpsons Production Cel: Above all the items in my Simpsons merchandise collection, I value my cels in a class above the rest. I currently own 13 Simpsons Original Production cels. My favorite in my cel collection is this Season 3 production cel from “Stark Raving Dad”. This cel is located on the wall next to my computer. I usually find myself wandering off from the work I am doing on the computer to stare at the cel. The episode has always been one of my favorites. Since I am also a Michael Jackson fan, this piece says it all. I don’t think I will ever find a better cel that I will enjoy as much as this. The compliments I get about this cel from people who see it are always amusing to me. 1
Item #2- Dracula Mr. Burns Rubber Foam Statue from A La Carte: Standing in at about 19 inches tall is this Dracula Mr. Burns Rubber Foam statue. This is an older piece of merchandise that as soon as I saw… I needed to buy. I had to purchase this from the U.K. and ship it to the U.S. which made the shipping costs end up to be about what I paid for the item ! I have him displayed on my dresser as you enter my room. I like telling people that he guards the room. Sometimes when I am asleep at night, I will look over to see his shadow do a quick yo-yo trick. Maybe it is just very late at night, but I can swear I saw him do it once before. ; )2
Item #3- Krusty-in-the-Box from Rocket USA: My fascination with Jack-in-the-Box toys started when I was little. I had one and used to play with it all the time. When last year Rocket USA announced they were going to create a Krusty-in-the-Box I was overjoyed ! This is a stand out Simpsons item in both quality and enjoyment. Hopefully, I will be able to pick up the Homer-in-the-Box which has just recently been released.3
