In a startling revelation sure to cause a public outcry, cartoonist Matt Groening has divulged that superstar Michael Jackson was the author of “Do the Bartman,” a suggestive invitational rap tune sung by an animated ten-year-old boy named Bart Simpson on his 1991 family album, The Simpsons Sing the Blues. Variety reports that Simpsons creator Matt Groening made the disclosure at the Second Annual World Animation Celebration in Pasadena, California, Wednesday. “It was always amazing to me that no one ever found out that Michael Jackson wrote that song,” Groening said before a crowd of cartoon fans. “He was a big fan of the show.”

In less shocking Jackson news, it appears the singer is inching closer to signing a deal for a $500 million entertainment park in Warsaw, Poland. The Associated Press reports that Poland’s Military Property Agency said Friday that it wants to sign a letter of intent with Jackson to construct the amusement park on the site of a former military airport. The singer hopes to have Eastern Bloc children on thriller rides by June 1, 1999.

And finally, Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor are reportedly heading to Seoul, Korea, next week to attend the inauguration of President-elect Kim Dae-jung. While there, Jackson will reportedly discuss plans to hold a charity concert to benefit the starving children of North Korea.
