X-Files creator Chris Carter explains: “It’s like one of those little dreams come true. I’m a big fan of The Simpsons and they just called us one day and asked if they could use Mulder and Scully on an episode, and there wasn’t a moment’s hesitation – we said yes! David and Gillian said yes and they sent a script up. We read it, we loved it. Two guys from The Simpsons came up and worked with David and Gillian, directing them for voices of the characters. The amazing thing is how far ahead they work. they didn’t finish that episode for about a year after David and Gillian had done the work on it.”
