More Simpsons Action Figures

Simpsons Comics #48 has some news on more Simpsons action figures from Playmates. "The next release of settings and characters come in late-May or early June, and include: the Kwik-E-Mart with Apu, Springfield Elementary School with Principal Skinner, and the additional figures of Chief Wiggum, Barney, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, Sunday Best Bart, and Pin Pal Homer."

Last I checked, it was early June, so these may appear in stores any day now. But The Simpsons Action Figure Page is reporting that the release has been pushed back to July or August.

Another Fox Protest Site

I got an email from the webmaster of Fanstock 2000, a site dedicated to protesting Fox's site shutdowns. They plan on holding a protest outside of Fox's Los Angeles headquarters on June 19th. Visit the site for more info.

Simpsons Wrestling Preview

The Simpsons Sourcebook was the first to break the latest news on the Simpsons Wrestling game coming soon for the Playstation. GameFan released a movie preview for the new game, which you can download here. It took me nearly an hour to download, so if you don't have the time, I'll summarize: The clip is 39 seconds of Simpsons characters attacking each other, not quite wrestling. Each character seems to have their own quirk; Barney is holding his mug of beer. The sounds were limited, and hopefully when the game comes out, it will include some Simpsons catch phrases.
